Whap! That’s the sound as you slap your forehead and exclaim, “My goodness – I’m really in Japan!” I did it when I first got to Japan years ago and, you know, I still do it from time to time. There are so many things about Japan that are completely at odds with whatever you’ve experienced in your home country, such as dinner entrees that are still moving and company meetings that aren’t.
